Speak Chinese, get English. 30 languages in, 303 out.

Press your Translation shortcut and talk in your own language. The translation lands at your cursor, in almost any app.

Choose the language you want to write in

Open Settings > Voice & translation > Translation > Translate to and choose one target from 303 target languages and variants. The capsule and Translation shortcut share this choice. Speech recognition preferences remain separate: use automatic detection, or choose up to 4 of 30 recognition languages.

Choose whether to clean up translated text

Want the translation polished too? Turn on AI cleanup of translated text in Settings > Voice & translation > Translation, and it comes out smooth, not word-for-word. Start with Translate on the capsule or your Translation shortcut.

Keep translation a shortcut away

The Translation shortcut defaults to Right Shift + Right Alt (Windows), Right Shift + Right Option (Mac) or Left Ctrl + Left Alt + Y (Linux), and you can change it on the Home screen. It starts a new recording for translation and uses the AI cleanup of translated text setting. Ordinary voice input keeps its Style choice.

Translate a saved transcript later

When the original transcript is still saved in History, translate it into another language and keep the earlier versions available. You can choose a result version to view and copy.

Does changing the app language translate my speech?

No. Choose a target language, then use Translate on the capsule or your configured Translation shortcut. Display language and speech recognition preferences are separate.

Is the preview already translated?

The capsule preview shows the recognized original words. The translated output is prepared after recording stops.

Do I need a particular translation shortcut?

By default it is Right Shift + Right Alt on Windows, Right Shift + Right Option on Mac and Left Ctrl + Left Alt + Y on Linux. Check the Home screen for the current combination; you can change it to suit your keyboard.
