Who is responsible
SayDart is operated by DING XU (丁旭), an individual developer based in China. This policy covers the SayDart website, account services and desktop application. For questions about your personal information or to make a data request, contact [email protected].
What stays on your computer
Voice history stores your recordings, transcripts and cleaned text on this computer. SayDart Assistant stores conversations, drafts and references in a local database. Local history is not a cloud backup, and signing in on another computer does not transfer it.
What is sent for processing
Voice recognition sends your recorded speech to SayDart’s service and its speech-processing service. Text cleanup sends the text needed to prepare your result. When you ask SayDart Assistant a question, the messages and references needed for that answer are sent to the processing service.
SayDart’s service does not save SayDart Assistant conversation bodies. The processing service handles submitted content under its own data policies. Saving a conversation locally does not mean the answer was generated offline.
Your dictionary and account
Dictionary entries belong to your account. Cloud learning is enabled by default and can send dictated or inserted text, edit differences, application name and session metadata to suggest dictionary entries; you can turn it off at Dictionary > Learning settings > Cloud learning. Turning it off prevents new learning fragments from being uploaded. You can also add and manage entries yourself.
Sign-in, device sessions, service usage and billing require account and operational records. These records are separate from your local voice and chat history.
Account, payment and support information
Account services process your email address, login credentials or verification information, device and session identifiers, and usage records to sign you in, protect your account and apply your allowance. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you choose to send. Please do not email passwords, payment card details or unrelated private content.
Paid checkout uses Waffo Pancake’s hosted payment process. SayDart receives the order and subscription information needed to apply your plan, such as the amount, currency and payment status; the SayDart checkout flow does not collect full card numbers.
Browser storage and service diagnostics
The website stores a device identifier and your chosen display-language preference in browser storage. Web login session credentials are held in session storage. Before Google’s analytics script loads, up to 20 pending analytics events are kept in session storage for at most 30 minutes (not before you accept if your browser uses a European or undetermined time zone). Your cookie choice (Accept or Reject) is saved in local storage so the banner does not ask again. A short diagnostic log of page navigation and errors from the last 24 hours is kept in session storage under saydart.site.diagnostics.v1; it stays in your browser unless you export it with the Export session diagnostics button. Language preferences apply only to this website and are not used for cross-site tracking. When no language has been chosen, the home entry and account pages without an explicit language use the browser’s preferred languages, with English as the fallback. Public pages keep separate English and /zh/ URLs, and account links can specify a lang parameter. Clearing website storage may sign you out, reset the device identifier and return language selection to the browser default.
Operational records can include request identifiers, processing outcomes, timing, client version and platform. A delivery receipt records whether an action completed; it is separate from the recording, transcript or answer. These records support reliability, account security, usage accounting and investigation of failed requests.
Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how saydart.com is used and to improve the site. We measure page views, download-button clicks (including the platform and release version), visits to pricing and clicks to purchase Pro, and clicks on registration or sign-in entry points. Google Analytics enhanced measurement also records some interactions automatically: page views when the page address changes without a full reload, scrolling to near the bottom of a page, clicks on links to other websites, clicks on file-download links, and engagement with embedded videos. Form interactions and site-search terms are not collected. Google’s automatic detection of user-provided data is turned off, and the website does not send email addresses, phone numbers or other user-provided data to Google. Analytics runs on all pages of saydart.com, including account pages. These analytics events are separate from desktop speech and text processing: we do not send your recordings, transcripts, SayDart Assistant content, login credentials or payment details as analytics event parameters.
We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off unless you choose Accept. If your browser uses a European time zone, or its time zone cannot be determined, the website does not load Google’s analytics script at all until you choose Accept, and the cookie banner opens automatically when no choice has been saved. As a second layer, Google applies an analytics-denied default in those regions based on the country of your IP address: if the script does load there (for example, because your browser uses a non-European time zone) and consent is denied, Google’s tag does not set or read analytics cookies, but it can still send cookieless measurement requests without an analytics identifier. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are on by default and you can turn them off. Anyone can open the cookie banner with Cookie settings in the website footer. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization are always denied, Google signals are turned off, and analytics data is not used for advertising.
When analytics is allowed, Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<container-id>) to distinguish browsers and sessions, and processes page paths, event timing, and browser and device information. Your browser’s requests to Google include your IP address, which Google uses to derive approximate location; Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Our Google Analytics property keeps event-level data for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically; aggregated reports are not subject to this limit. Google processes analytics information under its applicable policies, potentially outside your country.
To opt out of Google Analytics, open Cookie settings in the website footer and choose Reject, block cookies for saydart.com in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Choosing Reject removes existing Google Analytics cookies on saydart.com and stops new ones. If your browser uses a European or undetermined time zone, Reject also keeps Google’s script from loading; otherwise it does not stop the cookieless requests described above. The opt-out add-on or a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts stops Google Analytics requests altogether. Clearing cookies alone does not stop future analytics requests.
Service providers and processing locations
Alibaba Cloud provides the speech-processing integration and email services; cloud infrastructure used by SayDart includes Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud and Cloudflare. Language-model requests are sent to the processing service configured for the feature. Waffo Pancake provides hosted payment processing. Google provides website analytics through Google Analytics 4. These providers process the information needed for their respective roles.
Service infrastructure includes China and the United States, and speech processing can involve Singapore. Selecting a website language does not select a data-processing country. Do not submit information subject to a particular residency requirement without first checking whether we can meet it. We do not claim that specific cross-border contracts, certifications or provider retention guarantees have been verified by this page.
Requests about your data
Contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion or export of your account data, or to raise an objection or withdraw consent where applicable. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. Requests are handled under applicable law, including any required retention of transaction or security records. The product does not currently offer a complete self-service account deletion or cloud-data export flow.
Deleting local history and revoking a device session have different effects: revoking a session does not remotely erase that device’s local files. You may also raise privacy concerns with the competent authority in your jurisdiction.
Age requirements
SayDart is available to users aged 14 or older. Users below the age of majority must obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent before using the service. If local law requires a higher minimum age or additional authorization, those requirements apply. We do not offer the service to children under 14. A parent or guardian who believes a child under 14 has provided personal information should contact [email protected] so we can investigate and handle deletion under applicable law.
Retention and your choices
You can delete local history, change the voice-history limit and manage dictionary learning. Deleting a local record does not recall content already sent for processing or erase account and usage records.
We do not publish a blanket zero-retention or no-training promise covering every provider. Local voice history keeps up to 50 records by default, with configurable count limits or indefinite retention; older entries are removed when that count is exceeded. Assistant conversations are managed separately. Account information is retained while the account remains active. After account closure, non-essential account data is deleted within 30 days. Support emails are retained for no more than one year after the issue is closed. Records that must be retained for legal, transaction, security or dispute purposes are excluded from that deletion deadline and are retained only as necessary for the applicable purpose or legal requirement. Third-party providers apply their own retention policies. Account closure and data requests are handled through [email protected]; these rules do not mean that uninstalling the app automatically deletes an account.
