Local history and cloud processing are different things.

Check where a voice app processes data, what it sends and what it saves. Local history does not mean local processing.

What is processed in the cloud?

Audio is sent for speech recognition, and text for cleanup. Assistant requests send the messages and references needed to answer.

Processing requires internet access and involves SayDart and its providers. It is not offline; we do not claim end-to-end encryption.

What is saved on your computer?

Recordings, transcripts, cleaned text and assistant conversations, drafts and references can be saved locally. Signing in on another computer does not transfer them.

Voice history keeps 50 records by default. You can change the limit or clear it. Protect your device and account; local history is not presented as a separately encrypted vault.

How does dictionary learning differ?

Your dictionary is account-linked. Cloud learning is on by default and can send dictation, edits, application context and metadata to suggest terms.

Disable it in Dictionary > Learning settings to stop new learning uploads. Existing hotwords and manual editing remain available; recognition still uses the cloud.

What if I attach a photo or screenshot to the assistant?

Photos or screenshots you add are sent with your question for processing, so check them before you send.

Deleting one kind of data does not delete everything

Clearing voice history, deleting a chat, disabling learning and revoking a device session are separate actions. Local deletion does not erase account, billing or operational records.

See the privacy policy, provider information and data controls for full details, or contact support for account-data requests. This guide does not establish provider retention terms or regulatory certification.

Before submitting sensitive material

Only submit material you are allowed to send to these services. Confirm any organizational requirements for processing location, retention or security first. Website language does not determine the processing country.

Does SayDart store audio recordings?

Voice history can save recordings and transcripts on your computer. It keeps 50 records by default, and you can change the limit. Older records may be removed when the limit is reached. Audio is still sent to cloud services for recognition. See the data-control and privacy pages for details.

Does local history mean my speech stays on my device?

No. History storage and processing are separate. Speech recognition uses cloud services even when the recording or result is also saved locally.

Does turning off cloud learning stop all uploads?

No. It stops new uploads for dictionary learning. Voice recognition, text cleanup and assistant requests still use cloud processing.

Does deleting a recording delete my account data?

No. Local recordings and account records have different controls. Use the published data-control instructions or contact support for the relevant request.
